Privacy Policy

The short version
We collect only what's needed to give your boy his daily prompt and track his growth. We don't sell data, we don't run ads, and nobody outside your family can see his journal answers.
1. What we collect
Your account:
- Your email address, and if you sign in with Google, the name and profile photo Google shares with us.
- Your plan (Free or Premium) and the date it renews.
2. What we collect about your kids
Only what's needed to pick age-right prompts and celebrate his progress:
- First name, age, and the hero avatar he chooses.
- Which prompt he received each day and whether he finished it.
- His journal answers and mood check-ins, prompts he favorites, and the weekly challenge steps he checks off.
3. What we don't collect
We deliberately don't ask for last names, birthdates, home addresses, schools, phone numbers, or photos of children. Please don't add those details to journal answers or child names.
4. Payments
Subscriptions are processed by Stripe. Card numbers go directly to Stripe and are never seen or stored by us. We keep only our own subscription records: plan, status, renewal dates, and Stripe's subscription and customer identifiers.
5. How we use it
- Deliver his daily prompt and calculate his streak.
- Build the Growth Report and the printable Certificate of Character.
- Run the Weekly Hero Challenge and his badge collection.
- Manage billing and answer support questions.
- Keep the service safe and fix bugs.
6. Who we share it with
Only the services that make the app work: our hosting and database platform, Stripe for payments, and Google for sign-in if you use it. They process data on our behalf under their own privacy terms.
- We never sell your data or share it with data brokers.
- We don't run advertising networks or social-media tracking pixels on this site.
- We use a small error-reporting service so crashes reach us and get fixed.
- We may disclose information if we're legally required to do so.
7. Your child's privacy
Accounts are owned and managed by a grown-up, and nothing is published about a child publicly. Because journal answers can be personal, we keep them private to your family's account by design rather than relying on a settings toggle.
8. Who can see the answers
Journal answers, moods, streaks and challenge progress are visible only inside your own account. Other families cannot see them. The prompt library and challenges are shared content, and none of your family's answers are ever part of them.
9. How long we keep it
Until you tell us to stop. Removing a child deletes his prompt history, journal answers, favorites and challenge progress. Deleting your account removes the rest. We keep basic billing records only as long as tax and accounting rules require.
10. How we protect it
Connections are encrypted, and each family's data is stored so that only that family's signed-in account can read it — not other users, and not anonymous visitors. No system is perfect, so please keep your password private.
11. Your choices
- Edit or remove a child's profile at any time from the Kids page.
- Delete any journal answer you no longer want saved.
- Copy or export answers before deleting them.
- Upgrade, manage or cancel your plan from the Subscription page.
- Ask us what we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, by emailing support.braveboldkind@gmail.com.
12. Children under 13
The app is built for boys to use together with a grown-up, and the account itself belongs to the grown-up. If you believe a child has given us personal information without a parent's involvement, email us and we'll remove it.
13. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we'll update the date above, and for meaningful changes we'll tell you in the app or by email before they take effect.
